House rejects timetable for Iraq pullout

WASHINGTON - The House on Friday handily rejected a timetable for pulling U.S. forces out of Iraq, culminating a fiercely partisan debate between Republicans and Democrats feeling the publics apprehension about war and the onrushing midterm campaign season.

In a 256-153 vote that mirrored the position taken by the Senate earlier, the GOP-led House approved a nonbinding resolution that praises U.S. troops, labels the Iraq war part of the larger global fight against terrorism and says an "arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment" of troops is not in the national interest.

"Retreat is not an option in Iraq," declared House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. "Achieving victory is our only option ... We have no choice but to confront these terrorists, win the war on terror and spread freedom and democracy around the world."

Well it's about time that the Republicans use there position of power to press the Democrats on the war on terror. The Dems have invested everything in our defeat, and can't wait to cut and run. Those 153 people who voted against this resolution need to be visited by one of these crazy towelhead fucks and see if they let you go, odds are your gonna see a sword or a dull knife above you neck ready to saw your head off. Do you Libs not get it, we are at WAR, figure it out! War is not a great or pretty thing, as the saying goes "War is hell", and that statement is true. People we are in it for the long haul and victory will be ours, the democrats and libs will continue to degrade the Army while living under the freedoms that they provide.

Nice post, runs in line with mine - man I love it when the liberals are proven wrong by facts and the vote. . . and I love the fact that 42 democrats crossed party lines to join the GOP in this vote.
