Iraq debate in Senate shows Dems' split

WASHINGTON - So much for consensus. Fissures in the Democratic Party over
Iraq will be on display Wednesday when the Senate takes up two proposals to withdraw U.S. forces, touching off an election-year showdown between Republicans and Democrats.

"Setting a deadline to redeploy U.S. troops from Iraq is necessary for success in Iraq," Sen.
John Kerry, D-Mass., said in remarks planned for his introduction of a proposal that would require U.S. combat forces to begin leaving the war zone immediately and be out of Iraq completely by July 1, 2007.

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and most of his rank-and-file colleagues don't exactly agree.

They back a separate nonbinding resolution that would not set such a hard-and-fast deadline. It would simply call for ‚ not require ‚ the administration to begin a phased redeployment of U.S. forces this year.

"It's not a cut-and-run strategy. It does not set a fixed timetable or an arbitrary deadline for the redeployment of our troops," said Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Committee. To that end, Levin said, "We believe it represents where a majority of our caucus is."

Well It's very obvious that the Democrats no matter what they say are the party for cut and run. They want to hand over Iraq to the murderers. When two US troops that they found where very severely beaten and tortured and than there heads cut off, it gets worse but i wont go into it here. After seeing that they still want to concede to enemymemy and it makes me sick.
We need to unleash our full capability to wage war and end this NOW! Kick the media out, kick everyone out who is not helping and shut that fucking country down today, and kill that terrorist leader fuck, I want to watch as his head is cut off and than we could stick a little American flag in his neck when it's all over! Hell we should hang him in a public square, that would be fun also.
Too all of you Democrats and liberals, YOU are aiding enemy of the USA, You are encouraging enemy of the USA. That make enemies of mine and of our troops, and you will be treated accordingly.

I posted almost identically what you did today! You are absolutely right, they are putting our troops at risk and more! These flatulant assholes need to be spending the day honoring the two soldiers that were found dead in Iraq rather than celebrating the enemy!

Captain's Quarters has something interesting on this same topic. It may be that the Dems were "this close" to nixing a deal that the Iraqi government is trying to work to get the locals to stand down in their fun-loving jihadist ways.

You sound like a nice, open-minded guy. Seeing some of the truths about why we started this war does not make one a traitor or an enemy of America. Being an ignorant yes-man like yourself can be more dangerous. Lighten up there, chief.
