Bush May Call On National Guard To Tighten The Border

So it has been leaked and talked about today on talk radio and the TV show not to mention many a blog, that President Bush is to call on the National Guard and send in around 6,000 troops to the border with Mexico.
Everything I have been hearing is that the troops will not even be arresting the illegals that attempting to cross the border. They will be providing logistical support among other things, but that they are there until the border patrol can swell in it's numbers.
I am under the opinion that if he decides to deploy the troops along the border, it would be a waste not to let them do all they can to shut down as much illegal traffic as possible.
Only when the border is truly sealed and the flow of people is stopped can we put together an immigration that makes sense. They flee here with the hope or promised amnesty and social programs provided by the loony left who wants to make a permanent sub-class that they control and get to vote Democrat.
We should not be rewarding people who break our laws openly and defiantly. If they need to a wall or fence of some sort would be a big start and would allow fewer numbers of troops or border patrol agents to patrol larger areas effectively. The Minuteman are trying to do that job right now, and everywhere they turn they are being called bigots and racist and all they want to do is preserve our laws and our culture. We should honor them by supporting them fully in their efforts as I do.
President Bush better have something good to say.
