Iran atomic work will go on despite deadline
TEHRAN (Reuters) -
Iran said on Sunday it would never stop uranium enrichment despite a looming U.N. deadline designed to ensure it cannot develop nuclear weapons.
But chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani reiterated Iran's stance that it was ready to hold talks on its nuclear program. Six world powers have offered a package of economic incentives to the Islamic Republic if it halts uranium enrichment.
"Iran will continue its uranium enrichment. We want to produce our own nuclear fuel," Larijani was quoted as saying by the student news agency ISNA. "We will never stop it."
The U.N. Security Council has told Iran to suspend atomic fuel work by August 31 or face possible sanctions. The West suspects Iran is secretly trying to make nuclear weapons but Tehran says its only aim is to generate electricity.
Uranium enrichment can be used to produce fuel for nuclear power stations or material for nuclear bombs.
"The great decision of our nation in scientific advancement is an absolute decision and there is no turning back from this way," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a ceremony to honor Iran's nuclear scientists, broadcast live on state television.
The Islamic Republic says international sanctions would only propel oil prices higher, hurting the industrialized world.

"Iran will continue its uranium enrichment. We want to produce our own nuclear fuel," chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani was quoted as saying by the student news agency ISNA. "We will never stop it."
These are Iran’s own words; I don’t even have to make them up or anything. They have told the international community countless times they are not giving up its nuclear program.
Why does the world refuse to believe them?
Can we not just take them at their word and believe that they will not stop and than proceed from there, all this talk about trying to shutdown Iran’s nuclear enrichment is for not, they have no intention of doing anything of the sort.
"A lot of the media focus has been on Iran's offer being unacceptable because it didn't include the upfront agreement to suspend enrichment," said one diplomat, declining to be named.
"But no one, from (U.S. ambassador to the United Nations) John Bolton to Cinderella's fairy godmother, actually expected that to happen," said the diplomat, adding that Iran's reply "that did not rule out suspension as part of negotiations" was the best anyone could have hoped for given the circumstances.
Why must it always fall to the United States to take action? Why does anyone take the United Nations seriously anymore? They have proven time and time again that they can not solve anything and have no bite to go along with its bark.
What will it take? Will Iran have to launch a nuclear missile before the world will come to realize what so many do now in the United States?
They have even started their own terrorist organization in Hezbollah, if we are truly in a fight with global terrorism than Iran has to be next on the list, otherwise what we are doing doesn’t mean a thing.

Russia rejects sanctions against Iran
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia on Friday rejected any talk for now of sanctions against
Iran and France warned against conflict with Tehran, raising doubt whether it will face swift penalties for not halting nuclear work by an August 31 deadline.
Responding to an offer of economic incentives to stop enriching uranium, Iran hinted to six world powers on Tuesday it could curb its program as a result of talks to implement the package -- but not as a precondition as they demand.
The reply seemed designed to crack the ramshackle united front of four Western powers and Russia and China behind the U.N. Security Council deadline. The West sees Iran's nuclear work as a looming threat to peace. Russia and China do not.
"I know of no instances in world practice and previous experience in which sanctions have achieved their aim and proved effective," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told reporters during a trip to Russia's far east.
"Moreover, I believe that the question is not so serious at the moment for the U.N. Security Council or the group of six to consider any introduction of sanctions. Russia stands for further political and diplomatic efforts to settle the issue."
Ivanov is regarded as close to President Vladimir Putin.

Many believe Russia to be our friends and if not our friends than a country that we are not hostile with. This could not be father from the truth, by any means.
Russia again has been trying to inch itself into the superpower role and assert it’s presence in the Middle East, namely in the fanatical countries of Iran and Syria, both of which support, supply and finance terrorism.
While the cold war is over in the traditional sense, they no doubt still harbor resentment towards our country and its vast power, military and otherwise.
They still have been the main supplier of arms in the Middle East and as a result of that Hezbollah and the like have been taking a heavy toll in innocent life and with that the hope of a lasting peace in the region.
Today true to form Russia said it would reject any talk of sanctions against the openly defiant Iran of the issue of their nuclear enrichment program, once again showing the obvious weakness and uselessness of the United Nations.

Russia does not want change in Iran, they want implant themselves in the power role and continue to supply arms to this county which funds and supplies Hezbollah, which the world has labeled a terrorist organization.
If we are truly fighting a war against terror, than we must act regardless of what Russia and the toothless United Nations say.

Iran nuclear issue may head next to U.N.
WASHINGTON - The United States is working with European allies and other governments over a possible U.N. response to what the Bush administration characterizes as
Iran's inadequate answer to demands that it cease uranium enrichment.
Iran maintains it has offered "positive and clear signals" to resolve the dispute over its nuclear program, but could face U.N. sanctions unless it reverses course and agrees to a verifiable halt to enrichment activities that can be a precursor to the manufacture of nuclear weapons.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday that Iran's response is missing a "decisive sentence" on whether Tehran will suspend uranium enrichment and appears unsatisfactory.
"We are still examining it, but from everything that I hear we cannot be satisfied," Merkel said in an interview with N24 television.
French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy saids Iran must suspend uranium enrichment if it wants to return to negotiations, but Russia's foreign ministry said it would continue to seek a negotiated solution and China appealed for patience and more dialogue.
The State Department acknowledged that Iran considered its proposal to be a serious one and promised to "review it."
But the U.S. statement issued Wednesday went on to say that Iran's response to a joint offer of U.S, and European trade and other benefits if the enrichment program was halted "falls short of the conditions set by the Security Council" — full and verifiable suspension of all uranium-enrichment activity.
"We are consulting closely, including with other members of the Security Council, on next steps," it said.

The Iranian regime has long stated that they will not roll back the enrichment programs that they have established and that their nuclear ambitions are of god’s will.
With the 5 major world powers on the UN Security Council, The United States, China, Russia, France and Britain with Germany signing up as well, providing a incentives program to Iran to suspend nuclear enrichment, it now plainly obvious that they have no intentions whatsoever to commit to this incentives program and put a end to this standoff.
Iran has said that they have a natural right to nuclear energy and no one can dissuade them of this theory, this of course very incorrect.
No country has a right to this kind of energy, only those who will not use this technology to harm the masses should be allowed to use and develop nuclear energy.
The halting of nuclear enrichment has been the sticking point for the United States in moving forward with negations and if it is not suspended by the 31st the United States said that they will move forward swiftly to enact sanctions against the Iranian regime.
If sanctions are the rout that is left to us by Iran, Russia and China are the ones that we have to worry about; they are the ones who opposed bringing Iran in front of the Security Council in the first place.
I’m sure Russia does not want to lose all the money they are making by selling weapons and munitions to Iran to supply its army and indirectly Hezbollah.
Iran must be held responsible for their actions in funding and supplying Hezbollah, if they are not other across the region will try the same actions and tactics to get what they want.
If the United Nations is incapable of action, it falls to us as the most powerful country in the world to assert our presence and force to remind the Iranians what will happen if they push to hard.

Syria to form its own Hezbollah
JERUSALEM – On the heels of what it views as a Hezbollah victory against the Jewish state, Syria is forming its own Hezbollah-like guerilla organization to fight Israel in hopes of "liberating" the Golan Heights, an official from Syrian President Bashar Assad's Ba'ath party told WorldNetDaily yesterday.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Syria learned from Hezbollah's military campaign against Israel the past month that "fighting" is more effective than peace negotiations with regard to gaining territory.
He said Syria's new guerilla force would be trained by Hezbollah leaders.
"Syria is very serious about establishing this new guerilla force," the official said.
In a televised address yesterday, Assad declared Hezbollah's path of "resistance" achieved results during the last four weeks of fighting against Israel.
"The region has changed because of the achievements of the resistance [Hezbollah]," said Assad, speaking to a journalists association.
Assad said members of Hezbollah used their "will, determination and faith" to counter Israeli arms, enabling the Lebanese militia to defeat Israel.
"We tell them [Israelis] that after tasting humiliation in the latest battles, your weapons are not going to protect you – not your planes, or missiles or even your nuclear bombs. ... The future generations in the Arab world will find a way to defeat Israel," Assad said.
Get The Rest Of The Story At WorldNetDaily.
The Front for the Liberation of the Golan’s main mission aside from attacking and killing as many Jewish people as possible is the return by all means necessary of the Golan Heights.
Syria is the culprit this time; they believe that the military conflict in southern Lebanon is proof that fighting a guerilla war against Israel will be more effective in the long run to gain territory than to use peace negotiations.
This decision that Syria has come to is a troubling one, we hardly need another large scale guerilla force in the Middle East, and there have already been too many deaths at the hands of these Muslim guerilla armies.
The guerilla armies have been advancing in technology, tactics and weaponry, receiving hundreds of anti-tank rockets from Iran, some even powerful enough to attack buildings where Israeli soldiers have sought refuge.
There are now even reports of Hezbollah fighters using British night vision goggles including a cache of the NVG’s found at a Hezbollah command and control center in southern Lebanon.
If groups such as this new one continue to attack Israeli without regard for innocent people then they must expect the retaliation of the Israeli military and a full airborne attack.
Israel has also mounted a raid in southern Lebanon on a Hezbollah stronghold aimed at stopping them from rearming via Syria and Iran.
Iran is ultimately responsible for the actions taken against Israel by its proxy Hezbollah; therefore it is directly responsible for the many deaths of innocent people in both Lebanon and Israel.
Israel must not allow this new Syrian guerilla army to gain the level of sophistication that Hezbollah now enjoys.
It would be a devastating mistake for Israel if they were to allow them to arm and train personnel and become a legitimate force in the Middle East.

TEHRAN (AFP) - Top Iranian cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani warned the United States not to seek confrontation with Tehran over its nuclear program and to learn from the war in Lebanon.
"We expect America to have learned enough (from the Israel-Hezbollah war) not to enter another game and upset the security of the region," Rafsanjani said in his Friday prayer sermon carried live on state radio.
The former president said the United States would be wise to try and resolve its nuclear standoff with Iran through negotiations.
Washington said Thursday it will move quickly for UN Security Council action on sanctions against Iran if Tehran refuses to halt its sensitive uranium enrichment work by August 31, as demanded by a UN resolution.
The United States and other Western countries suspect that Iran is enriching uranium to use in nuclear weapons. Iran insists the program is to make fuel for civilian reactors.
The US administration has never ruled out military option against Iran to resolve the standoff.
Iran has said it will reply by August 22 to a package of incentives offered by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany to halt its uranium enrichment program.

So once again we have been warned by one of Iran’s top clerics not to pursue in our efforts to halt the enrichment of uranium, which most of the world believes is just a cover for a nuclear weapons program.
It is my belief that Iran directed Hezbollah to take such actions against Israel as a way to distract the world from its enrichment program, which the United Nations has called a stop to.
The President of Iran has repeatedly said that, “Israel must be wiped off the map,” and that the Holocaust is just a big lie.
He has also said that if the rest of the world, mainly Europe and the US, believe that the Holocaust happened, than it should be us who gives land to the Jews and make a state of Israel in Europe.
He has made the case that while a nuclear strike against Iran would kill millions it would not destroy the country, however a nuclear strike against Israel would wipe out the whole country.
We can not allow this crazy savage to wield or posses a nuclear weapon, I have no doubt that given the chance he would more than happily hand over a nuke to Hezbollah or any other terrorist organization.
If Iran attacked US troops in Iraq using missiles or anything of that nature, it would be the biggest mistake since the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad thinks that we will back down, but if he attacked us he must be ready for the fight of his life, because our military force could crush that backwards ass country.
If he keeps pressing on the nuclear issue, he is going to get a chance to see close up the awesome power of the Untied States military and the best trained troops in the world.
I do not believe that Iran will come to its senses and I also believe that the United Nation will take no forceful action that is in any way meaningful.

France said to want only symbolic force
UNITED NATIONS - Countries that could contribute to an expanded U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon were gathering Thursday to find out how the troops will operate, and U.N. officials hoped many would commit soldiers.
France, meanwhile, wants to send a small, purely symbolic contingent to the force, and the
United Nations is trying to convince French officials that such a decision would be devastating, a news report said Thursday.
Though France has been widely expected to lead the force, the newspaper Le Monde reported that it planned to contribute merely 10 officers and 200 military engineers.
U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan was expected to call President Jacques Chirac on Thursday to persuade France to make a larger commitment, Le Monde said, citing unidentified diplomatic sources.
A French Defense Ministry spokesman declined to comment on the report.
The U.N. resolution that led to Monday's cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah authorized up to 15,000 U.N. peacekeepers to help 15,000 Lebanese troops extend their authority throughout south Lebanon, which Hezbollah controls.
The aim is to create a buffer zone free of Hezbollah fighters between Lebanon's Litani River and the U.N.-drawn border, about 20 miles to the south.
French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said in an interview with France-2 television Wednesday that the mandate of the strengthened force is still "fuzzy" and warned that the United Nations needs to spell out its exact mission and rules of engagement.
That's what U.N. peacekeeping officials will do at a meeting Thursday afternoon chaired by Deputy Secretary-General Mark Malloch Brown.
Britain's U.N. Ambassador Emyr Jones Parry said he expects early agreement at the meeting on the concept of operations and the rules of engagement, which have been drafted with help from French and U.S. military planners.

So the French only want to send a symbolic force, somewhere around 210 soldiers, that proves that France is not serious about the plan that they brokered and that they could give two shits about Israel or the peace.
If France wants itself to be taken seriously and as an international power than it needs to proceed as such, they have been divisive and very weak when it come to dealing with the infestation of immigrants that they have in that country.
I’m all sure you remember the riots of not that long ago, where the savage Muslim youths went around setting every car ablaze and causing thousands and thousands of dollars worth of damage.
I am sick and tired of every time a Muslim or Arab does something to hurt someone or inflict mass damage, they totally downplay his background and only vaguely state the region that the perp is from.
If France truly wants peace in the Middle East than they must help to achieve it, not just talk about it, but truly help the process along by providing troops to help create the buffer zone with Israel and to help make sure that Iran and Syria do not once again rearm Hezbollah.
Now ex-president Jimmy Carter (bozo deluxe) has stated in an interview with a German paper that the world should forget about the Holocaust and we should forget our history when it comes to German troops on the border with Israel.
While I am all for moving forward and not dwelling on the past, this is something that can not be overlooked or bypassed in anyway.
I have no problem with Germany deploying troops to help the violence and to create that buffer zone, but they should not be deployed near the border with Israel, there are other areas in the country which need troops that Germany could have a part in.
I just believe that it is a very tricky and delicate situation, no one, myself included is trying to equate the Germany of today with that of the 1930’s and 40’s, we all know that Germany is a vastly different country than before and thankful for that.
If France wants to be a leader in international politics than they need to lead from the front or get the hell out of the way, it’s as simple as that.

Israel to halt pullout unless Lebanon army deploys
BEIRUT (Reuters) -
Israel said on Wednesday it would stop withdrawing from south Lebanon unless Lebanese troops moved there within days, as diplomats worked on plans for a stronger U.N. force to bolster the truce with Hizbollah guerrillas.
The Lebanese cabinet will order an immediate army deployment in the south when it meets later in the day, a senior political source said, adding that a 15,000-strong force would start taking up positions south of the Litani River, about 20 km (13 miles) from the Israeli border, on Thursday.
French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy, holding talks in Beirut, urged Lebanon to send the army south rapidly to move alongside U.N. peacekeepers into areas vacated by the Israelis.
"The withdrawal of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) within 10 days is dependent upon the deployment of the Lebanese army," Israel's army chief Dan Halutz told parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, according to a spokesman.
"If the Lebanese army does not move down within a number of days to the south ... the way I see it, we must stop our withdrawal," Halutz said.
The U.N. Security Council last week adopted a resolution calling for a truce. It authorized up to 13,000 well-armed troops to augment the 2,000-strong UNIFIL force now in Lebanon.
The United Nations said on Tuesday it wanted to deploy up to 3,500 new soldiers in south Lebanon within two weeks.
"It seems to me vital that the deployment of the Lebanese army takes place as quickly as possible," Douste-Blazy said after meeting Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh.

Well for the most part the shaky ceasefire has held past the first day, which to be honest is longer than I thought it would last.
There have been battles since the ceasefire has been taken into effect, with the loss of life on both sides and both sides claim victory in this.
I am under the opinion that Hezbollah has won a victory of sorts just by surviving the onslaught by the Israeli military, they may have not gained ground or anything of that nature, but they survived and they will use that to their advantage.
They should not let that go to their head though; it is just a matter of time before Hezbollah makes a mistake once again and leave itself open to be attacked.
They have not solved any of the issues that where on the table that led to this military conflict in the first place, and without addressing those problems the violence can only continue.
Hezbollah has openly stated that they will continue to attack the Israeli military as long as they remain in southern Lebanon; Israeli has wanted and has started the slow withdrawal of its forces from those areas below the Litani River.
The problem with this action is that with no credible military force is in place which will keep the people safe and Hezbollah at bay.
Pressure must be brought to bear against Iran and Syria, the main backers of Hezbollah, in order to truly affect that organization and its ability to conduct military operations including rocket attacks which have been a mainstay in the latest fighting.
Israel needs to think about the leadership shown by its leaders in this war and figure out if they are capable enough to protect and defend that country
There are many Israelis who feel that the leadership of the country has not done enough to destroy Hezbollah, now while I can not say for sure because I’m obviously not there on a day to day basis, I do believe that they should not have waited till a ceasefire was about to take place to send in ground troops.
They should have been sent in right away to do the most effective damage to the infrastructure and military capabilities of Hezbollah and to ferret out any rocket launcher sites, now Hezbollah will rearm and Israel will once again have to launch a major attack, only time will tell when this is going to happen.

Israel begins pullout amid fragile truce
BEIRUT, Lebanon - Israel began slowly pulling out forces from southern Lebanon and made plans to hand over territory Tuesday on the first full day of a tense cease-fire that already has been tested by skirmishes and rocket fire. Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon shot five Hezbollah fighters Tuesday in two separate incidents, but it was not clear if they were wounded or killed, the army said.
The Islamic militant group also fired at least 10 rockets in southern Lebanon, but none crossed the border into Israel. On Monday, at least six Hezbollah militiamen were killed by Israeli troops waiting for a peacekeeping force before beginning a full-scale withdrawal.
But Israeli and Hezbollah forces avoided any escalation, raising hopes that the U.N.-imposed pact could stick, as governments rushed to assemble international troops to deploy in southern Lebanon and firm up the peace.
Hezbollah's two patrons, Syria and Iran, proclaimed on Tuesday that the guerrillas had won the fight with Israel and thwarted America's plan for a "new Middle East" — a reflection of the two countries' boosted confidence amid Hezbollah's increased popularity around the Arab and Islamic world.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said early in the war between Hezbollah and Israel that any settlement should be durable and lead to a "new Middle East" where extremists have no influence.
But after 34 days of fighting, a cease-fire that took effect Monday brought a fragile truce, with Hezbollah surviving and Israeli forces unable to score a decisive victory. Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah has declared "strategic, historic victory" against Israel.
Israel and its main backer, the United States, however, portrayed Hezbollah as the loser — and by extension, its main backers, Iran and Syria. "There's going to be a new power in the south of Lebanon," President Bush said Monday.

The leaders of Hezbollah, Iran and Syria have declared this a victory against Israel and the United States and all Zionists around the world, I tend not to agree.
The capability of Hezbollah to be an effective offensive military apparatus has been seriously degraded over the past month, due to the massive bombing campaign and the more recent incursion by the Israeli military forces.
These proclamations of victory over Israel and The United States are nothing more than a deceitful propaganda campaign being waged all over the Arab world with the intent of gathering more recruits and more influence across the Middle East.
Iran and Syria have been continuously pulling the strings of Hezbollah with the aim of total destruction of the Jewish state and the expulsion of all Christians and Jews from the region.
While much focus has been put on this one battle, this is just one battle in an on going war with radical Islam that has been going on for the last 20 years, but its only since Bush took office have we begun to fight back against these savages.
This is a war of ideas and values if nothing else, which is why it is so vital that we do win, we can not allow our country and our way of life to be impeded by those who would impose Islam upon the whole world and kill any who do not bow to them.
This truce is in a very fragile stage and without a significant international military force Israel is forced to keep troops in southern Lebanon until they arrive.
The troops that Lebanon has promised have not been able to disarm Hezbollah in the past, so what evidence do they have that they will be able to do so now?
Hezbollah has stated that they will still engage Israeli ground forces as long as they remain in southern Lebanon and without a substantial international military presence tensions will rise once again and I have no doubt that Hezbollah will fault on its agreements and once again attack Israel.
There can be no peace as long as Hezbollah remains intact, that much is a fact.

There can be no peace as long as Hezbollah remains intact, that much is a fact.

Bush says US using 'all assets' against terrorists
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush, touting national security issues three months before congressional elections, assured Americans he was using "all assets" to protect them from terrorists.
"We live in troubled times, but I'm confident in our capacity to not only protect the homeland, but I'm confident in our capacity to leave behind a better world," he said during a visit to the
Pentagon.
Bush met with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and was to have lunch with what the White House described as experts on Iraq before heading to the US State Department for talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
"It's very important for the American people to know that we're constantly thinking about how to secure the homeland, protect our interests and use all assets available to do our jobs," said the president.

I have no doubt that our President is doing all he can to preserve our way of life and safeguard our freedoms in a world that is filled with people who want to kill us for no other reason than being not Muslim.
There are many Democrats who feel that the President is taking away their civil rights and that he is a war criminal and should be impeached. Let me ask you a very simple question, what rights have you had to give up?
I personally have not had to give up any of my rights; my life has not been changed in away way by the changes made by this administration in it’s’ war on terror.
We in the United States have a far less encompassing system than our allies the British, they do not have to worry about the same problems we do, and they are able to go after the terrorists much more effectively.
There are those who still do not realize the enemy we face and the seriousness of their resolve, they continue to bicker and complain about what they feel this administration has yet to do, but they offer nothing except criticism, they offer no ideas and no solutions.
These savages will not and can not restrain themselves from killing the innocent. I believe history and time have shown this to be true.
There is an inherent brutal savagery that pervades in the Islamic culture that can not be denied, it has been there far longer than many would like to admit, that savagery has been there even before the crusades, our support for Israel and the war in Iraq.
It is foolish and naïve to believe that if we removed our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan that terrorists would leave us alone and not try to kill us once again.
They hate us for what we stand for, they hate us because we will not bow to their false god, they hate us because we believe it is morally wrong to support and condone honor killings, beheadings, strapping bombs to children, executions of openly gay people and the brutal oppression and subjugation of women.
They will not spare you because you are against this President or the war in Iraq, they will not spare you because you are a Democrat, and they certainly will not spare you because you are tolerant, because they find that to be a weakness which they will hope to exploit.
We as a people are their enemy, we must all soon come to realize that fact or we will not survive.

Mideast cease-fire goes into effect
JERUSALEM - A U.N.-imposed cease-fire went into effect Monday designed to end a month of violence that killed more than 900 people, devastated much of southern Lebanon and forced hundreds of thousands of Israelis into bomb shelters.
In the final hours before the truce, Israeli aircraft struck targets in the Hezbollah stronghold of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon and a Palestinian refugee camp in the south, but soldiers were ordered to halt their offensive as of 8 a.m. (1 a.m. EST).

You would think that the Arab countries would be happy with the ceasefire since it’s what they have been wanting since the beginning of this military incursion, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
The Arab countries wanted the United Nation once again to condemn Israel and to label them the aggressor in this new round of hostilities, which we all know, is not true.
They want Israel to be the aggressor and they want to use that to make the people in the Arab world feel like victims once again, enabling the leaders of those countries to disregard the utter depravity and hopelessness that pervades throughout the Arab world.
The Arab countries have received billions of dollars in oil revenue, yet their people live in poverty, many have no running water or electricity due the greedy nature of the Mullahs and the leadership of the countries of which they reside.
Those of you who believe that we should not be in the Middle East at all must believe that is ok and acceptable to have honor killings, female genitalia mutilation, the executions of teachers in front of students, the killing of soccer players for wearing only shorts, the mass murder of all those who have lived openly gay lives, and the oppression and subjugation of women throughout the entire region.
We fight not only to spread freedom and democracy around the world, but we also fight to promote our own best interests.
Doing that means making the world safe for the United States and all those who value freedom over oppression, and justice over tyranny.
It is a fact that no democracy has declared war on another democracy.
I have very little faith in the United Nations force they will be sending into southern Lebanon; they have already helped Hezbollah with the abductions of Israeli soldiers in the past and I believe they will not fight them now, but allow them to thrive and prosper.
If they are not able to control Hezbollah than Israel will have no alternative than to reoccupy southern Lebanon and that is something Israel really does not want to do.
Israel must stay in Lebanon until other troops arrive to relieve them, but Hezbollah has stated that they will fight as long as one Israeli troop is still in southern Lebanon.
Looks to me that Hezbollah wants to part of the agreement and is going to go back on the agreement at the first opportunity.
