Pentagon says half Iraq's Army divisions take lead

This is exactly what we have been trying to do the whole time over there, but the press seems to fixated on the violence in Baghdad to point out any of the good things that actually do take place over there. Our troops are not murders and rapists that the newspapers would have you believe, they are our heroes and should be treated as such.

So, you're saying the pentagon reports of the rapes and murders are untrue? You must think that Murtha's statements are lies?

I'm obviously baiting you with that because I've already got all the links lined up to the military's own investigations that confirm it.. unless you want to say that the military is lying about it. Is that it?

Obviously the troops are doing very well under really horrible conditions. These conditions were the result of poor civilian leadership.

But they obviously never should have been there in the first place.

I believe your wrong, but I also believe that we should have taken out Saddam in the first Gulf War

Would have been just as big a mess back then as well.

Can you tell me who said this?

"whose life would be on my hands as the commander-in-chief because I, unilaterally, went beyond the international law, went beyond the stated mission, and said we're going to show our macho? We're going into Baghdad. We're going to be an occupying power — America in an Arab land — with no allies at our side. It would have been disastrous."

Let's learn our lesson.

We should have carpet bombed Bagdad until Saddam was killed or overthrown and replaced with a puppet government.

If required we could have used land forces to secure oil to pay reparations for the cost of the military actions - plus a fine.

Carpet bomb Baghdad? Did you have an authoritarian father that beat you?
