BEIRUT, Lebanon - Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora said Wednesday that he refused to have any direct contact with Israel and Lebanon would be the last Arab country to ever sign a peace deal with the Jewish state.
"Let it be clear, we are not seeking any agreement until there is just and comprehensive peace based on the Arab initiative," he said.
He was referring to a plan that came out of a 2002 Arab League summit in Beirut. It calls for Israel to return all territories it conquered in the 1967 Mideast war, the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and a solution to the Palestinian refugee problem — all in exchange for peace and full normalization of Arab relations with Israel.
Israel has long sought a peace deal with Lebanon, but Beirut has hesitated as long as Israel's conflicts with the Palestinians and Syria remained unresolved.
Saniora said Lebanon wants to go back to the 1949 armistice agreement that formally ended the Arab-Israeli war over Israel's creation.
Also on Wednesday, a Hezbollah cabinet minister said that the guerrilla group will not release two captured Israeli soldiers unconditionally, and that they would only be freed in a prisoner exchange.
"There will be no unconditional release. This is not possible," Minister of Energy and Hydraulic Resources Mohammed Fneish said in Beirut. He is one of two Hezbollah members in Lebanon's Cabinet.
"There should be an exchange through indirect negotiations. This is the principle to which Hezbollah and the resistance are adhering," he said.

It seems that Lebanon does not wish to end this is a peaceful manner, or in one that ends beneficially for both parties.
Israel was not the one who started the month-long military engagement, responsibility for that would fall to the terrorist organization Hezbollah and the government of Lebanon which has openly allowed Hezbollah to join the government as a political entity.
Lebanon has not been able to keep Hezbollah under control and keep them from attacking and killing innocent Israeli citizens.
The Lebanese government has failed to disarm Hezbollah and control the border with Syria where most of the supplies are coming via Iran and Russia.
If they cannot control their own country and enforce its laws and borders, Israel must act to preserve the lives of its own citizens and the integrity of its country.
Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said Wednesday that the Israel-Hezbollah cease-fire could possibly be "a cornerstone to build a new reality between Israel and Lebanon."
In this new reality must be the disarmament of Hezbollah and that will not come any other way than by military force, this falls to Hezbollah for they could disarm themselves if they really wanted too.
It is a sad fact the United Nations has failed to act and will continue to fail as long as Kofi Annan is ahead of this toothless organization.
If Hezbollah is truly to be shut down than we must go after the source, Iran.
They are funding and supplying Hezbollah with Russian made munitions and have a major role in the direction of Hezbollah policy.
They have been trying to gather the strength to attack and destroy Israel for some time and now as apart of the Lebanese government they are actively trying to move that country into a position to attack Israeli itself.

Would you expect any other stance from an Islamic nation? They're own "holy text" tells them to use deception and any other underhanded tactic necessary to conquer non-Muslims. As long as Muslims and non-Muslims live in the same world, there will never be true peace. Islam is incompatible with freedom.
So, either the Muslims exterminate all non-Muslims (which is their clearly stated goal), westerners exterminate all Muslims, or there will never be peace. That pretty much translates into: There will never be peace.

Oh hell, that's right.. the savages have infiltrated just about every nation.. meaning we gotta get the English to kill all of them in their country (won't be that hard to do) and the French too (they won't want to do it). Heck, we might just have to kill all the French because they're savage loving scum and won't help with our plan to kill all the Muslims.
