The Devil That Is The ACLU

I’m a true American, I believe in things like this country and what it stands for and I also believe in simple traditions such as Christmas, which I believe have been under attack for sometime by despicable entities such as the ultra liberal American Civil Liberties Union or for short the ACLU.

Justice Scalia on Sunday proudly defended some of his earlier Supreme Court opinions, arguing that nothing in the Constitution supports abortion rights and the use of race in school admissions and in other areas of life.

"On controversial issues on stuff like homosexual rights, abortion, we debate with each other and persuade each other and vote on it either through representatives or a constitutional amendment," the Reagan appointee said. "Whether it's good or bad is not my job. My job is simply to say if those things you find desirable are contained in the Constitution."

He later went on to say, “It doesn’t seem to me to allow Michigan to say we think it’s good to discriminate on the basis of race when you want to make sure everyone is exposed to different backgrounds. We cannot use race as the test of diversity.”

I have watched over the past few years the ACLU and its ilk erode and destroy the very foundation of this great country and line the pockets of its lawyers while trampling over those who do not toe their line.

Now I am all for people helping out other people, but what they do goes way beyond that into a realm of the unbelievable.

From my understanding and from what I have observed it seems that the ACLU can’t leave anything alone and has to state an opinion and seek to always overturn some injustice.

On ever fundamental and important issue that faces this country today they are dead wrong, furthermore the people who lead this liberal establishment should be brought up on sedition charges.

They would be very hard pressed to convince me that they are actually for this country and believe in the inherent greatness that emanates from the good ol’ US of A.

I seriously believe that they all think that we are all a bunch of dumbass rednecks that need their brilliant minds and enlightenment, now we all know this not to be the case, but we can leave them some illusions.

Because of the ACLU American soldiers are dying needlessly because they are having to look over their shoulders because the ACLU is taking the word of our enemies over the word of our brave soldiers who are laying their lives on the line for these scum’s freedom.

The soldiers now have to take extra dangers because if they make a mistake the ACLU will nail them to the cross and set it on fire to show others what happens if you make the tiniest error.

That kind of behavior is unacceptable for any sensible organization and that includes extreme liberal ones such as the American Civil Liberties Union.

Since no one in real power is doing anything to stop them, we the bloggers must do what we can to bring these travesties to public light and make sure we inform as many people as possible.

How true. If the gov. we the people funded. Didn't fund the ACLU they might re-evaluate what they wish to defend and do. Last accounting I had the Federal Gov funneled in nearly half the cash to support these freak shows.
As long as our elected reps give them a blank check they will continue to destoy our nation.

Once again.. you are factually inaccurate..

If you wiki "Christmas", you'll see that it was not a traditional Christmass holiday (it was illegal in Boston for quite a while). In fact, only 2 of 9 "founding fathers" were even Christians. Again, you can wiki that.. Also, Christmas was not even a national holiday until 1870 - nearly 100 years after the country was established.

So.. the ACLU is merely trying to bring back tradition in the United States, via the establishment clause.

Now - this idea that the ACLU is killing soliders is bizzare. While it is true that the U.S. soliders are bound by the rules of engagement, it is the military that has jurisdiction over the conduct of the soldiers, not the ACLU.

You write as if the ACLU is a law enforcement entity. It is not. It is merely and advocacy group that must use the LEGAL system of the United States, the same legal system that every citizen is entitled to utilize.

That you some how go from a soldier being killed in Iraq to the ACLU being to blame is really strange.

What sort of foundation do you have for bringing any "sedition" charges? I expect that only because they are considered a "left" group, you think that is enough regardless of the grounds on which the ACLU litigate.

In other words, we are to support anything the government does because we are to assume that everything the government does is legal and proper, and there's no reason to check and see if there's anything illegal going on. In fact, we should all just look away and not pay attention. There should be no news from Iraq, except good news. We should turn Bush's low 30's approval rating to something like upper 90's, even if it's not true. Lets just have the media make things up that are totally supportive of the government because America cannot be seen to ever be wrong.

Or something like that..

So, I'm curious.. because the ACLU uses the American legal system to advance their agenda, what do you suggest we do to "stop them"? Summary execution? Perhaps just do away with the Constitution?
