The Way Forward

Over the past few days there has been some talk about what President Bush was going to do in the wake of the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group, leading Generals, both active and inactive and what “the way forward” would entail.

Regardless of whatever the Democrats want the President is still the top man and the one who calls the shots and there were reports out last night that the White House was leaning towards sending up to 20,000 more American troops into Iraq.

These troops will be sent most likely into Baghdad and surrounding areas to help quell the radical terrorists that we are fighting and help put a stop to the increasing sectarian violence.
"Our objective is to help the Iraqi government deal with the extremists and the killers, and support the vast majority of Iraqis who are reasonable, who want peace," Bush said.

"We want to help your government be effective," he said. "We want your government to live up to its words and ideals."

Of course there is nothing President Bush can do that will ever please Democrats as shown by Harry Reid, "It has been six weeks since the American people demanded change in Iraq," said Reid, who is incoming Senate majority leader. "In that time, Iraq has descended further toward all-out civil war and all the president has done is fire Donald Rumsfeld and conduct a listening tour."

"Talking to the same people he should have talked to four years ago does not relieve the president of the need to demonstrate leadership and change his policy now," said the Senator from Nevada.

The course of action that Bush will most likely take will be heavily criticized by Democrats all across the board and will not help the war effort in any manner, but than again helping the war effort has never been big on their priority list.

The Iraqis have been showing much more resolve than your average Democrat or liberal and it exposes them for the appeasers they are.

"I can assure you there is a great and real chance to get out of this present dilemma," Iraq's Sunni Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi said as he and Bush met. "It is a hard time that the Iraqis face in time being, but there is a light in the corridor. There is a chance, but we need a good will and a strong determination."

We can win In Iraq, it can be done and I don’t know why the Democrats and liberal media keep force feeding us the line that, “there can be no victory in Iraq militarily” because that is a load of BS.

There is no possible way our military can lose militarily in a fight in Iraq with any forces that the terrorists can come up with, but where we can lose is in the political arena and that’s were the Democrats have been waging their war as many of them still refuse to call the war in Iraq a “war”.

The only way we can lose this war is if we lose the resolve to do what is necessary to obtain victory with peace and democracy in place in Iraq and the people free to run their country without the fear of savage terrorist trying to kill them.

If given the proper information and if the people actually heard from the troops and listened to what they have to say it would sharply contrast to what is being reported on a daily bases on many of the major liberal leaning networks and that would not be good for business.

We must remain ever vigil and support our brave troops who are on the ground fighting every single day and putting their lives on the line to help make the would a better place and in doing so make our country safer and we must support them.
